Ode to Poe, The Third and Final Post.
Happy Birthday, Edgar Allen Poe.
Thank you to everyone who has stopped by the blog and has helped promote my shop over the last few days of this Poe-party. The winner of the Poe Grimoire bookmark has been chosen by the whims of fate (out of a hat), and she is the inimitable Jo Taylor– fantastic dancer and member of the wonderful 400 Roses Morris side.
Beautiful Jo is in the back row, far left!
Another manifestation of the Nevermoore bookmark is, of course, still available in my Etsy shop!

Not to seem sexist, but if more morris troupes looked like that it would probably be more popular:) Congrats to the winner. Great illustration as well. I hope they have not found out who always leaves the bottle of brandy on his grave in baltimore, somethings should remain secrets. DRC

I love the 400 Roses costuming! They are pretty mesmerizing to watch! I hope they don’t find the source of the brandy, either! Thanks for reading, Dylan.

No idea what a morris troupe is but love their costumes and your tribute to Poe.

Edith, they are a form of traditional English dance but the 400 Roses do a hybrid dance of bellydance and traditional morris. They are great– I know a few in the “side” which is what a Morris troupe is called, I guess. They are wonderful women! Thanks for reading!
