The frequent posts from Etsy displayed so much merchandise that obviously is not handmade. We don’t need an Etsy to show what we see every day in ads from manufacturing establishments. Artistic endeavors from artists and their creative hands have always struggled for recognition and monetary advancement, but we thought Etsy was a unique agent to promote handmade art and creativity. What a disappointment — and what an insult as well as hypocrisy from Etsy! Thank you for the discovery and the alert concerning this. I think their behavior is ethically wrong.. Onward with handmade — never give up!

Dee, you will have to contact Jo for current rates, and the rates vary by location. They have gone up to 200 pounds a pitch for three days starting in October, regardless of location. Do you make handmade things?

Dylan, I know what you mean. It’s mystifying. The smaller the pie, the uglier the fights. It’s like some episode of the Twilight Zone where people will kill each other over what they think is the last bit of food when if they just looked outside there’s a whole bounty of new options available, but they are wedded to this old, institutionalized struggle.
