Ombre Stone Choker Necklace. Skald Chain.

Sterling silver chain choker inspired by Orkney rainbows and Old Norse poetry.

• Made of a multitude of semi-precious stone beads: upcycled freshwater pearls, labradorite, sleeping beauty turquoise, chrysoprase, amethyst and many others
• A study in the colours of many shimmering rainbows over the sea in Orkney
• This is a choker necklace-- 14 1/2" or 37cm long. You can see it sits on the neck of my UK size 14 mannequin with a 14" neck
• This chain is handmade one link at a time in sterling silver
• Necklace closes with a hand forged clasp in my bird mother shape
• A little silver rain-drop paisley charm dangles from the clasp
• This playful necklace is named after the Old Norse bards--skalds--poets and lore makers. Each is created one at a time with a poetic impulse-- you could say they are free verse!

This current version is 17" or 43cm long and has a double-sided copper plated pewter lotus tag accent and a fascinating assortment of Czech glass beads arranged in an ombre colour progression. The wrapped chain hangs from copper plated brass with a hand forged copper clasp in my Bird Mother shape.
